I have a baby girl. Some people call her G-baby, GG, Double G, Grace or Gracie. But I call her Graciana (Grey-see-ahh-nah). She turned 8 months yesterday. To celebrate, here are 8 facts about her:
The number one characteristic people say about her is that she is alert. She really is. She sees all. Sensitive to sound and responds to her name.
She averages one new skill every seven days. A few weeks ago she slept through the night. Last week she clapped. This week she sat herself up from the laying-on-the-belly position.
She is diesel. She's on track to beating Mariusz Pudzianowski pound-for-pound. This baby's got abs. And her legs are strong. She can be on her back with her knees to her chest and I'll try to keep her from straightening her legs and she out muscles me like she's a leg press princess.
She scares our dog. One time Nash went to sniff her and she pulled his beard hard. She didn't know whimper meant stop. Nash has been skittish around her ever since.
She has multiple laughs. She grunt laughs. Scream laughs. Giggle laughs. Silent laughs.
I'm convinced she's going to be a genius. Her umbilical cord fell off faster than average. Her head is bigger than average so that means her brain is too. And the pediatrician said, "wow" when Graciana held her own bottle.
She's a thrill seeker. I've been doing the dad launch up in the air and she's all about it. I wrestle around with her too so she can beat up boys one day and she laughs the whole time.
She's got a sweet mullet right now.
You know how I know I love Graciana? Because those 8 facts came too easy. You know how else I know I love her. Because I'd pick option 2 if I got the Accidental Hospital Switch Call. Have you heard of this?
The hospital calls you and says they accidentally switched your baby with someone else's.
Your real baby is with this family and you've got their baby.
Do you:
1. Switch the babies back so you get your real baby
2. Keep it the way it is and keep someone else's baby
