Wipe Your Tears
This music video warmed my heart like toaster strudel. It shows a glimpse into one man's day. Do you know a man like this? He makes me think of my late-grandpa, who wasn't black, but woke up early, took pills and made coffee. This video is cool because it's real. Apart from the horses, it's real.
What Was Your Favorite Part?
Maybe you guessed the ending. Amanda probably will when she sees it. But you're definitely wondering throughout the video where it all leads. I anticipated it was going to be sad, so when I saw the part when the man was playing pool, the toaster strudel effect started. It looked like he was having a good time shootin' billiards with his buds. And I was happy for him.
You Tell Me
Why are we starting a bouldering gym? Because bouldering bonds people. Do people need bonding? You tell me. What did you see while the man was enjoying an activity with others? Comfort. Encouragement. Support. Laughter. Ease. Did he need that? You tell me. Do you need that?
Conclusion
No man is an island. When you and me become we, it's nice. Activities that nurture togetherness is helpful, in good times, and especially in bad.
Practical Suggestions
Join the Lakewood Kickball League. I play tonight. Join us if you'd like
Organize a game night with your friends. Tabletop is a fun board game restaurant in Ohio City
Try rock climbing. It bonds people better than any other activity I've tried. It's intense enough to enjoy and slow-paced enough to chat
Bonus
Did you catch the first time the man in the music video shook hands? Was it left-handed?
