Sick and Tired
When I was a Social Worker, they told us that our clients won't change until they're sick and tired of being sick and tired. I'm sick and tired of being late and this past weekend triggered it.
Late
Our church had a special service at Edgewater Beach yesterday at 10:15a. When do you think I started packing the suntan lotion, hat, Spikeball, jogger stroller, pop, ice, cooler and lawn chairs into the car? 10:00a. What time do you think we got to the service? 10:45a. Do you think I enjoyed the first 15 minutes? No, I pouted.
It's Time
I didn't feel like a good husband or father on the way to Edgewater. Instead of being safe I was speeding. Instead of having a loving demeanor I was livid. Instead of being personable with folks I was pouting. I sucked. It's time to change that. I'm starting this week. And the solution is simple.
